Getting More Bang for Your Buck - Outsourcing

By guest author Sharon Freeman
Getting the Biggest Bang for Your Buck - Outsourcing Is the Name of the Game
As a manager or owner of a small business, you'll want to use your best employees to help with the most important tasks and outsource the rest of the projects to other individuals or businesses. It's important to have support staff that keeps the business functioning while the rest of the workers continue to do their jobs. One of the outsourcing functions that’s best to get done using workers from outside the company is cleaning.
Running the Best Administrative side of Cleaning
Keeping any type of business clean, functional and organized can be an administrative nightmare. If you have to hire your own workers to take care of all the cleaning for the offices, you'll also need to hire a supervisor to run the show unless you're operating an extremely small team of workers who work in one or two offices. Instead of having to worry about the paperwork and administrative side of keeping your office clean, hire the work out.
Building a successful business depends on keeping your highly skilled workers focused on the jobs at hand. If you have them running around doing extra cleaning errands, you may end up with resentful employees or at least workers that have to divide their attention between their main job and small cleaning tasks. Any company with a reasonable size should use a separate corporate cleaning company to keep the business operating at full speed.
Corporate Cleaning Services
Here are just some of the many services you can expect from a corporate company for cleaning:
  • Sweeping and vacuuming
  • Mopping and carpet cleaning
  • Trash disposal
  • Window washing
  • Dusting and cleaning furniture
  • Bathroom maintenance
Depending on the needs of your business, a cleaning company can perform all of these services or just a few of them. If you're running a small business, you may only require vacuuming 2 times per week and trash disposal 3 times a week. The work and schedule can be flexible when it comes to servicing your corporate cleaning needs. If you need a cleaning crew on a daily basis, that can certainly be arranged.
Time is Money and Production is Key to Success
A clean and sanitary office will automatically lead to better production from your workers. It's hard for employees to perform when things are in a cluttered or untidy state. It doesn't make a lot of sense. At the same time, you won't want to employ your own staff to take care of the basic cleaning tasks and handle the headaches that go with it. You'd be much better off paying a small amount for the outsourced work and then hiring other skilled labor to perform company tasks that will in turn lead to higher profits.
Cleaning companies bring a lot to the table when it comes to the range of services they can provide. No matter what your needs are and whether you are operating a large or a small business, you'll be able to pick and choose what you need most and select the services you want based on your company budget.

  1. I wish I could outsource my cleaning, but my wife tells me I have to do it as she still works. Such is life eh?
