It is never easy to run a business. Getting
enough sales and making it successful is even harder. The fact that you have a
lot of competitors can make life difficult. Then again, that’s the way it is.
You have to accept the fact that running a business requires good decision
making on all aspects and that includes marketing. You need sound marketing
strategies that will give you an ROI in no time. Of all the strategies you can
implement, giving away promotional products is one of your better options.
Knowing that you want a strategy that
involves giving out promotional items is just one part of the process. The next
thing you need to do is to choose what item you will use. You want items that
are related to your business. For instance, if you are selling techie stuff or
offering IT services, you can go with promotional USB drives. There are so many
options available so you should be aware of your choices before you come up
with a decision.
It is also best to go with items that are
useful. Promotional
flash drives are definitely useful. You are assured that whoever gets it
will use it and not just hide it in their cabinets. Other items such as bags,
shirts, mugs, and pens are also good options. People use these things on a
daily basis, giving your brand the exposure that it needs.
When you choose an item for your campaign,
you should never forget to check your budget. In most cases, it is your budget
that decides what you will buy. It is not necessary to overspend on these items
most especially if it is your first time to try it out. What you can do is
order a couple of items first. If possible, order different promotional items
and see which is the most successful amongst them.
Since there are a lot of stores where you
can buy your flash drives or whatever promotional gift you want, make sure to
get to know them first. Compare your options carefully and check each store
before you decide to make a purchase. Read reviews and find out what others
have to say. Check the selection and see if they have what you need.
Also, you have to compare prices. This is
how you will see that even if stores offer the same items, their prices are
somewhat different. Others are cheaper. Just be careful; you should not be
fooled by price. Remember that these items will play a vital role in your
marketing campaign. You want them to have good quality and to be customized
properly. Ordering in bulk is one more concern. You only want a store that can
accommodate your needs and stick to your deadline. You want to give these items
at the right time. Expos, trade shows, seminars, launchings, and other special
occasions are the best times to share your promotional items to people.
Promotional items can give your business
the boost it needs if you choose the right one and give it at the right time.
So do not hesitate to spend part of your funds in promotional
items because they will give you an ROI in no time.
Great thing to have great products to promote.

ReplyDeleteYes,the right one is the best one.The right one is the one end users love.Imaging when a non-golf-lover receives a golf bag,he won't like it because a golf bag is not meaningful for him.
ReplyDeletePromotional bags are usually one of the best promotional products as they can be widely used everywhere and have a long lifetime which allows you to use them again and again.
Yes, I agree, giving away promotional products is a good option. We've been giving USB Drives, Pen Drives to our clients with our business logo imprinted. This helps us in marketing of our brand and company logo.

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this great post. It’s very enlightening. I think you're right about getting creative with promotional products branded Promotional products are so common now that you have to make sure that you stand out more than the competitor's. It's important to have something that people will want that's interesting and that represents your brand well. I also like what you said about promotional items not needing to expensive. I think you're right. As long as they get out to people and attract their attention, they don't need to be expensive..

ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting Prem.
ReplyDeleteIn your second paragraph, you mentioned that you want to implement promotional items related to your company. That's a great idea, I think it would also help with keeping your employees on track with their goals. I'm running a business of my own, so I'm at the point of trying to figure out what I'm going to give away as a promotional gift. I'd love to hear some ideas on what you think I could give away, knowing that I own a screen printing company. http://www.keetonsonline.com
ReplyDeleteObviously - or may not obviously, you have a limited budget. I'd have a couple of tiers of products. For high spend customers, I'd have something better than for low spend customers. Perhaps a beer coaster printed with your logo and contact number for low spend customers. Maybe a small company backpack for high spend customers. Everyone does pens - I have a container full of them. Something that sits on a desk (top of mind) like a ruler or business card holder could suffice. Let me know what you decide.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Robin for your time, and letting me know what you think!
